Ilayathalapathy Vijay to Act in Sagaptham ?

The latest buzz going around in K'town is that Vijay has accepted to do a cameo in Sagaptham the debut movie of Vijayakanth's son Shanmuga Pandian. Sources add that Vijay has accepted this role has an thanksgiving gesture to the favour done by Vijayakanth in the early film career of Vijay.
Even Vijay's father Chandrasekhar who spoke at the Sagaptham launch said that after his maiden project with his son in Naalaya Theerpu he had lost a lot of money and it was this juncture did he feel that Vijay should do a film with an established actor and that's when Vijayakanth stepped in. SA Chandrasekar added Vijayakanth did the film for the free and ensured the movie was wrapped in quick time too. The movie in question was Senthoorapandi where both Vijay and Vijayakanth acted together.

Fans would still remember when how a single tweet from Samantha on Mahesh Babu poster created a huge controversy and made #GetLostSamantha&Siddharth trend in Twitter.
Now director Sekhar Kammula best known for his Happy Days movie and also the director of Kahaani remake with Nayanthara voiced in his support for Samantha in his official Facebook Page.
"Just saw the poster of 1 Nenokkadine and read what Samantha tweeted.......I share the same views....it is regressive, no doubt about it...but what is shocking is the ruckus that is being created against her.......Its her opinion and she has every right to express it...and it has nothing to do with Mahesh Babu. Its how a woman has been projected on a poster and how she felt about it.This is not the first time we have seen posters like this or films that protray woman regressively but its heartening to see a main stream heroine react. Upcoming actress Preethi Das in a recent interview to the Times of India revealed she was actually very scared to pair up with Daniel Balaji for Marumugam movie. The actress said "We did a workshop before beginning the shoot, and I didn't get an opportunity to meet Daniel then. I've seen him in Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu, and his character in the film was very disturbing. So, when I shot a sequence which features just the two of us, I was totally scared. I had no dialogues, and only had to react to Daniel's lines. I guess the scene came out well because I was genuinely afraid!"
The actress also holds yet another project in Uyirukku Uyiraga for which she was completed the shooting.
The actress added "I've also gotten a couple of offers from Telugu filmmakers. I will be signing on one soon."

The latest news on the actress is that she has decided to opt for Sanyasa and was formally inducted into the Nithyananda Ashram on the Godman’s 37th birthday. The actress said that she will adopt to the lifestyle of a Sanyasi and will live in the Ashram for the rest of her life. Ranjitha was among 40 others who were given the deeksha (oath) by Nithyananda to coincide with his birthday celebrations. The actor has been re-christened as Ma Anandamayi.
Sources close to the actor said she has decided to spend the rest of her life at the ashram wearing saffron robes. She has been assigned the responsibility of taking care of the foreign operations of the ashram.

The Versatile actor Sathyaraj recently participated in the 100 days celebration of his Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam. The actor was quizzed by media on his choice of actors to remake his old classics, Sathyaraj said " I would like to see Ilayathalapathy Vijay in the remake of 'Poovizhi Vasaliley' and Ajith would perfectly fit for ' Makkal En Pakkam' ".
Sathyaraj added " Surya will suit for 'Kadamai Kanniyam Katupadu' while Karthi will be apt for 'Kadalora Kavithaigal' and Siva Karthikeyan will suit for 'Anna Nagar Muthal Theru'. The actor concluded by saying that of all his movies his favourite was Vedham Puthithu character and he loved it to such an extent that he won't allow anyone to remake the film, if someone did then he himself will play the Balu Thevar role as his present age will perfectly fit for the role.

There has been a buzz for sometime now that there was slightly some confusion brewing in Jilla camp, The confusion was regarding whose name should appear first on the title card of the film - Vijay or Mohanlal.
A reliable source revealed that "The crew of Jilla had been thinking about the placement of names of Vijay and Mohanlal on the title card. First, Mohanlal called up the director and asked him to take Vijay's name first as Vijay is a bigger star in Tamil Nadu. However, Vijay requested the director to carry Mohanlal's name first, reasoning that with 35 years of experience in the film industry, the veteran's name should naturally be placed first."

The tamil dubbing for this Jackie style action flick is already underway and Mohan of Surabhi Films will be distributing the movie in over 200 theatres. The Police Story 2013 will also have a 3D release in Tamil.

Maan Karate featuring Siva Karthikeyan and Hansika has already gathered huge buzz. The movie has already been sold out in all areas for amount of 20 crores. Directed by Thirukumaran, Screenplay and story is penned by A.R.Murugadoss.
The latest buzz on the movie is that Siva Karthikeyan plays a boxer in the movie, His charcter name is Peter while Hansika enacts the role of Yazhini. The story is about how an ordinary guy turns into an boxer. Vidyut Jamwal and Sathish play important roles in the film. Music by Anirudh. The first look of the film will be released on January 1 and audio will be launched on February 14. Maan Karate will hit the screens on April 11, 2014.

Powerstar Pawan Kalyan is all set tie the knot again if reports are to be believed. Pawan Kalyan has officially filed for the legalities with the sub registar office in the city. The lucky lady in question in his co-star from Teenmaar a Australian model Danah Marks.
Rumors of Pawan's secret affair with Danah has been circulated for quite a while now, the reports were further substantiated with Pawan seprating from his wife Renu Desai. Sources also add not only did the star have an affair with Danah, but they also have to two year old daughter, a love child.

Powerstar Pawan Kalyan may have rocked the box office with his record smashing Attarintiki Daredi but the star is now in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. There was recent buzz that Pawan married a Teenmaar lead actress Danah Marks.
But all of sudden Pawan Kalyan's marriage certificate has come out in public and all the focus has now shifted to the name of Pawan Kalyan's wife which was Anna Lezhneva and not Danah Marks.
Sources add Anna Lezhneva was a side-kick in Teenmaar. Anna Lezhneva was reportedly a junior artiste where she is seen in a bar sequence in the film. Apparently, both Pawan Kalyan and Anna hit it off really well ever since they first met on the sets of Teenmaar. They even dated for a while before taking it to the next step. Reports also suggest that Pawan and Anna have a baby girl even before marriage.

Rajinikanth : Superstar's Kochadaiyaan which was scheduled to release this year missed out but Superstar's Endhiran box office collection is still the record to beat.
Kamal Haasan: After crossing several hurdles and challenges, Ullaganayagan's Vishwaroopam went on to be a massive hit grossing 30 crores in Tamil Nadu box office and counting the Bollywood and International release the collection amounts of 85 crores which makes him "The Man of the Box Office for the year 2013"
Thala Thalapathy - Ajith and Vijay
To the question of whether it was Thala or Thalapathy the runner up to Kamal Haasan , without a shred of doubt it has to be Thala Ajith for this year. The reason being his movie Arrambam and it's collection. The movie grossed 35 crores in Tamil Nadu box office alone and add to the collections from Andhra the movie amassed a total collection of 65 crores.
From Vijay's point of view his last year release Thupakki is still his biggest success in the last 4 years which grossed a mammoth 80 crores. But this year due to several off screen issues his Thalaivaa movie failed to release on time. Though the movie had been sold for 50 crores it only collected 13 crores in Tamil Nadu box office.
After Ajith it was Surya who rocked the Box Office with his Singam 2 movie which grossed 60 crores and fetched him the third rank after Kamal Haasan and Ajith.
Chiyaan Vikram 2012 release Thandavam slightly tarnished the commercial image of the actor and this year's release David (Tamil Dubbed) failed to run in theatres even for few days. The actor however is currently spilling his heart out in Shankar' Ai which is currently slated for April 14th 2014 release.
Between STR and Dhanush who stood next to Vikram last year, STR did not have a single movie release this year but currently holds a untitled project with Pandiyaraj, Sattrendu Maruthu Vannillai with Gautham Vasudev Menon, an untitled project with Selvaraghavan and Vada Chennai with Vetrimaran and another project with Thotti Jaya director and Vaalu and Vettaimannan also being in the pipeline.
Dhanush's Bollywood debut Raanjhnaa rocked the box office and made it to the illustrious 100 crore club. But the tamil version of the movie Ambikapathy netted only 8 crores. Though Dhanush's Maryan fetched the actor critical acclaim the movie failed at the box office and his Naiyaandi was also huge let down.
Vishal after repeated failure struck gold at the box office with his Pandiya Nadu movie which amounted to 40 crores in total and his Pattathu Yaanai also did decent business with a collection of 20 crores.
Arya starred in several multi-starrer movies this year like Arrambam, Raja Rani and Settai. The actor's Raja Rani alongside Nayanthara and Jai grossed 30 crores while his Settai movie may have been a flop but still made a collection of 20 crores. Arya's much expected movie of the year Irandam Ulagam however bombed very severely at the box office.
Siva Karthikeyan had a dream run this year with all his three films – Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga, Ethir Neechal and Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam – turning out to be blockbusters.
Vijay Sethupathi tasted huge success in Soodhu Kavvum and moderate success in Idharkuthane Asaipattai Balakumara. The actor's Soodhu Kavvum is considered by many as the best movie of the year.
Jayam’ Ravi's Aadhi Bhagavan which opened to huge expectations failed to impress at the box office.
Jiiva had two releases in David and Endrendrum Punnagai, the later is well on its way to be massive blockbuster.
